The Difference Between a Logo and a Brand

What is a brand? Your logo is part of your corporate identity, however this is not your brand. It’s a PART of your brand. When you think of branding you have to think about what your consumers think and feel about your business. That is your brand. Branding includes knowing who your customers are, what motivates them to buy, what regions they live in, and what they love MOST about your business. Knowing these key aspects to your customers helps you define your brand and helps you respond to your consumer’s wants and needs.

Think about your favorite shoe… Why do you love that particular shoe? Do you care where it’s made? Do you care how it’s made? Or do you just like it because of what the BRAND represents? When you think of NIKE you think of great athletes, when you think of Apple, you think of innovation. Find out what your brand strengths are and accentuate¬† them.

Remember a LOGO IS NOT A BRAND.
